I’m a mother who loves to explore the world, breathe in the ocean air, and feel connected to nature through long walks, hikes, outdoor yoga, cycling, and beach clean-ups with my family. Each moment reminds us on how fragile purity really is and how much it matters to protect it.
When I became a parent, I started paying closer attention to what we put into our bodies, especially the water we drink. That curiosity turned into research, and eventually into Oystera. A bottle that blends advanced filtration with timeless design, made for people who care about health, simplicity, and the planet.
For me, Oystera is more than a bottle. It’s a reminder that purity and mindfulness can be part of everyday life.

I created the Oystera filtration bottle to make every sip safe. Fifteen years ago, my husband and I visited shorelines across Asia and were amazed by their clear waters, vibrant marine life, and beautiful beaches. Returning now with our own children, we found those same shores littered with plastic, the fish fewer and the coral reefs fading. A powerful reminder to act now to preserve and protect what remains for the generations to come.
That moment made me look closer at purity in our everyday lives, especially in the water we drink. It led me to a deeper exploration of what hides in everyday drinking water: not only microplastics, but also lead from aging pipes and other metals, chlorine that affects taste, PFAS ‘forever chemicals’, bacteria, and viruses. All of which are linked to serious health risks, including cardiovascular and neurological effects, hormonal disruption, and developmental issues in children.
I designed Oystera to protect people from these invisible threats without adding complexity to daily life. As a yoga teacher, I have learned how many poses are inspired by nature and its instinctive intelligence. That same idea guided me when I discovered how oysters quietly purify their surroundings, filtering up to 200 liters of water a day. It was a simple, beautiful act of balance that inspired Oystera: nature’s way of showing how purity can be effortless. Every bottle represents two promises:
Protection for you, filtering microplastics, bacteria, PFAS, chlorine, lead, and other common contaminants.
Care for the planet, lowering reducing single-use plastic waste, helping preserve marine habitats and biodiversity, and supporting ocean cleanup initiatives.

Long before Oystera became a company, the idea was supported through Anita’s yoga lessons. The income helped cover early startup expenses, while part of it went directly to clean-water projects. What started with small acts of teaching, volunteering, and family beach cleanups has grown into a structured mission to make measurable impact. Sustainability for Oystera means taking responsibility at every stage: in design, materials, and community action.
How We Act
1. Conscious Materials
Every Oystera bottle is designed for longevity and made from safe, recyclable materials. Packaging is kept minimal and fully recyclable, printed with non-toxic inks. Modular design principles allow parts to be replaced instead of discarded, extending each product’s life and reducing waste.
2. Giving Back from the Start
Giving back has been part of Oystera’s story from the very beginning. Before the first bottle was even made, part of the brand’s early income was directed to clean-water and ocean projects. Today, that commitment continues. A portion of each purchase contributes to marine restoration and water access initiatives.
3. Local Support & Collaboration
Oystera actively collaborates with local brands, startups, and creators who share the same environmental values. Working locally reduces transport emissions, builds community, and helps grow a network of innovators working toward a shared goal: a cleaner, healthier planet.
